A. If you are coming from Athens,Thessaloniki,central Greece,or Northen Greece :Follow the route:Trikala-Pyli(of Trikala )-Stournareika-Vathyrema-Mesochora .

B. If you are coming from Western Greece(Igoumenitsa,Ioannina,arta,Patras,etc.):follow the route : Arta-Voulgareli-Athamanio-Mesochora .

Best time to visite :

The best period to visite is from June through September . Please keep in mind that the living conditions here are suited for people who want to experience the true nature of Pindus mountain range,camp in the Acheloos River valley,and enjoy the unparalleled beauty of the landscape .

You will need to have the appropriate equpment . Also,keep in mind that even during the summer,the weather changes throughout the day, sudden afternoon showers and thunderstorms are common phenomenon .

Please keep the following in mind :

If you plan to camp,you must bring your own basic accommodation equipment . The nearest grocery stores are located in Athamanio and Sturnareika. In the village of Mesochora,you will find a restaurant,traditional taverns/grill houses,and coffee shop .

Don’t miss the chance to try the local trout, which is srved at the tavern by the river near the village of Neraida .
